Designer Spotlight - Acorn Quilt and Gift Company

I am enjoying a quiet day inside while I can hear the rain outside. So, I am catching up on a few things! I have uploaded some new products in the store and sent out a newsletter. If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so using the form on the right column.
This newsletter is a designer spotlight on one of my favourite designers - Brenda Riddle from Little Acorn Quilt and Gift Company. Below are some of her patterns...

Brenda Riddle's ‘little acorn’ philosophy is “from little acorns - mighty oaks grow” which is to not only remind us to take things a step at a time, but also to reach for our dreams. . . no matter how simple, no matter how small. Brenda's style can be described as cottage/vintage with a traditional yet soft, relaxed and casual feel.

I really love the 'Remember Whooo Loves You' pattern, and as soon as I can come up with a good excuse, I will be making one for myself! Head on over to Brenda's blog and check out her beautiful day books and latest news and projects.

Now, I am off to finish my own Sweet Peas quilt. The stitching is done, now to put al the blocks together! Perfect for a rainy day, and I promise to blog about it soon.

A surprise from poor me!

I have a surprise! After lots of requests, I have managed to source some more fabric for the Tail Feathers BOM, in the original range that you see in the sample!

That's right, fig tree for moda, pattisserie range! Be quick, they won't last!

Meanwhile, I am on the couch with my ankle up :( I had an eventful run and met up with the ground.. One swolen ankle, ripped trackies and a grazed leg later, I am feeling a bit sorry for my self...!

What a cute Bunny!

If you are a regular reader of my blog you may know that I am going to school to do 'desktop publishing' at TAFE. I really enjoy learning all about my favourite programs - the adobe creative suit!. Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. I can't get enough of them!

This is the latest tutorial I completed - you can find it online at Vector Tuts. They have quite a few really nice tutorials, when I have a few spare minutes, I will try another for sure!

There a few things coming up in the shop, if you haven't signed up to the  newsletter or started following my blog, now would be a good time!

I will be offering a new Block of the month in July - stay tuned for more information! I am really excited to be able to offer it, and will share some more information very soon!
